Description

The climate controller can be split into the two subcategories actuators and sensors.

The software of the climate controller monitors all of the measuring, control, and regulating processes occurring in the system.

The following components are actuators:
- Actuator for temperature-mix flap
- Actuator for central flap
- Actuator for footwell/defrost flap
- Actuator for air-recirculation flap
- Blower for fresh air
- Request from air-conditioning compressor to DME control module (PWM signal)*.

The sensor system comprises the following components:
- Passenger compartment sensor
- External fresh-air intake sensor
- Footwell discharge blower sensor
- Sun sensor
- Signal dimming Item. 58 d - PWM signal)*
- Feedback signals from fresh-air blower.

Serial interfaces
Data lines to the instrument cluster and for diagnosis are provided to allow communication with other devices.

The following information is transferred from the instrument cluster to the climate controller:
- Ambient temperature (external sensor at the front section on the right-hand side)
- Coolant temperature
- Driving speed
- Engine speed
- Immobilization time since "ignition off".
