Manual Heating System

The heating system is regulated by the airflow, which means that heated water permanently flows through the heat exchanger so that heating can be obtained at any time.

The water cooling system of the engine causes only minor load-dependent fluctuations in heating output.

Heating/fresh-air regulation
1 - Rotary temperature knob:
The rotary temperature knob actuates the temperature-mix flap via a Bowden cable.
The temperature is freely adjustable.
2 - Rotary blower switch:
The airflow can be selected by adjusting the blower speed (0 to 4).
With speed 0, the blower is switched off.
3 - Rotary knob for air distribution:
The rotary knob actuates the central flap and footwell defrost flap with two Bowden cables. The air is distributed according to the symbols on the rotary knob.
4 - Air-circulation switch:
Pressing this switch electrically actuates the fresh-air circulation flap and closes the fresh-air supply The circulation air setting should only be used for short periods since the windows may mist up.
