Tighten bolts and studs with 50 Nm (36.9 ft lb). Note specified tightening sequence shown in the illustration.
NOTE: A second person should always counterhold while tightening, to avoid damaging the O-rings while turning the bolts. Use a M14 wrench socket from "Snap-on" or equivalent.
Tighten outer crankcase bolls with a final torque of 25 Nm (18 ft lb).

Tighten as follows:
Apply a thin coating of motor oil to threads and seating surfaces.
Initial Tightening 30 Nm (22 ft lb)
Final Tightening Turn An Additional 90°
Check the press fit of the knurled bolt as follows:
Scribe a mark on connecting rod and connecting rod nut:
Tighten To 60 Nm (44 ft lb)
NOTE: If the knurled bolt starts to turn or if the specified torque cannot be reached, the entire connecting rod assembly must be replaced.
