Component Tests and General Diagnostics

Refrigerant R 134 a
General test requirements:
- V-belt tensioned correctly.
- Solenoid clutch is energized.
- Condenser is clean.
- Sunroof, doors and windows closed.

1. Switch on air conditioner.
2. Set temperature control to max. cooling.
3. Set fresh-air blower to stage 4.

High Pressure in Refrigerant Circuit vs. Ambient Temperature:

Low Pressure in Refrigerant Circuit vs. Ambient Temperature:

Air Temperature at Center Nozzle vs. Ambient Temperature:

The pressures and temperatures specified in the diagrams must be reached after approx. 10 mins. operation time at a speed of 2,000 rpm with the compressor switched on.
