Concern:
Correct application of drive motor for the cabriolet top.

General Information:
The cabriolet top is now driven by a single drive motor (formerly two motors). This change occurred in production as of December 5, 1995 from VIN 99 6TS 341001.





Repair information:
When repairs are necessary to the cabrio top drive motor, mounting bracket or drive cables, it is important to identify the type of cabrio top drive that you are repairing. Parts for both types of drives are available however, it is possible to install the new single motor drive parts into a vehicle previously equipped with two drive motors. This repair requires the use of the new drive motor parts (drive motor, drive cable left, drive cable right, mounting bracket left and mounting bracket right). It is not possible to combine old and new drive motor parts.
