Internal communication fault in CD changer

Diagnostic conditions
- Ignition on
- PCM2jCDR23 on
- Functional audio CD inserted correctly in CD changer
- Start CD changer

NOTE:
- Fault code 8003 is recorded in the PCM2 MMI/CDR23 if the operating buttons are actuated for 1 minute or longer.
- Deactivate the 'automatic traffic announcement' before performing the diagnosis on the PCM2. If this is not done, the diagnosis will abort (software version [<] 03).

Possible cause of fault
- CD changer faulty

NOTE:
- The MOST optical waveguide is connected to the following control modules:
- PCM2/CDR23
- CD changer
- Amplifier
- Telephone/telematics (optional)
