Removing deformation element

The A-pillar trim must be removed for removal of the deformation element.

NOTE: From model year 2000 onwards, a deformation element will be fitted on the inner left and right sides of the windscreen frame.

CAUTION: Danger of injury by damaged deformation elements after an accident.
- It is impermissible to perform repairs on the deformation element.
The deformation element must be replaced in the event of visible damage or pressure marks.
