Information:
As of January 29,1998 production, the 911 Carrera (996) received new design 4-ground electrode spark plugs. When replacing spark plugs in the 911 Carrera (996), only install the later version 4-ground electrode type spark plugs.

When performing a replacement of spark plugs on vehicles produced prior to the above listed production date, always replace all six spark plugs.

Spark plug types:

New: Bosch - FGR 6 KQC

Previous: Bosch - FR 6 LDC or Beru - 14 FR 6 LDU

Notes:
- The heat range for both types of spark plugs is the same.

- The former spark plugs are still valid for the 911 Carrera (993) model.
