Concern:

New large end 0-ring for the spark plug oil protection pipe.

Information:

A new large end 0-ring was introduced into production as of November 24, 1997, from M96/01 engine number:

66 W 02551

The new large end 0-ring is red in color and made of material containing silicone.

When performing oil protection pipe repairs on engines prior to the above engine number, the former large end 0-ring (black) should be replaced with the new red 0-ring.

Note:
When removing the 0-ring from the oil protection pipe, be careful not to damage or scratch the 0-ring groove.

The small end 0-ring is unchanged.
