Information:
The following information contains the most up to date specifications for repairing complaints of noises in the hardtop. Before beginning the work, please road test the vehicle to isolate the area where the noise is coming from. Then refer to the technical bulletin for assistance. After completing work, road test the vehicle again to confirm the noise was eliminated.

Setting up the hardtop for repairs.
For repairs without the hardtop holding fixture, place the hardtop upside down on a soft clean cloth. For repairs using the hardtop holding fixture (see Technical Manual, Group 6, Page 61-123 ff), first place it with the inner side facing down.
Note:
Make sure the hardtop is clean before you start the work. This will prevent scratches in the paint.
1. Lock the hardtop down with the front and rear latches.
2. Lift and remove the cover moldings on the left and right sides using a plastic spatula (arrows in figure 2).
Note:
The roof strip clips are destroyed when they are removed and must always be replaced.
3. Unlatch the hardtop and flip it over, placing the outer side down.
