Power measurement on roller dynamometer.

Information:

It is not possible to carry out an output (power) measurement on the two-wheel roller-type test stand with the 911 Carrera 4 (996). This is in conjunction with the specifications given in the Owners Manual.

The reasons are as follows:

The 911 Carrera 4 has a full-time four-wheel drive system which cannot be disabled.

If the vehicle is run on a two-wheel roller dynamometer, severe damage to the powertrain (viscous coupler) can result.

Please also note that requirements for emission testing on dynamometers vary from state to state.

Consult the rules and regulations for your state or province before conducting the test.
