Information:





A Roof Transport System (RT5) can be fitted on the above-mentioned vehicle for the transportation of bulky objects. This RTS and further add-on modules, such as ski rack (Part Number, 996 801 091 00), bicycle rack (Part Number, 000 044 000 48), surfboard rack (Part Number, 996 801 019 00), roof box (Part Number, 000 044 000 35) or snowboard rack (Part Number, 000 044 000 32), enable objects to be transported safely.

Safety Instructions:
The installed RTS and add-on modules must be checked before setting off and at regular intervals during longer trips to ensure that they are correctly and securely mounted. If necessary, all fastening screws must be retightened using the tool supplied with the part.

Items of luggage must not project substantially beyond the side of the load area. Items must never protrude beyond the width of the vehicle. When loading, care must be taken to ensure that the center of gravity of the load is as low as possible. Additionally, the load must be evenly distributed over the load area. The load must be secured to prevent it from moving.

The driving behavior of the vehicle changes due to the higher center of gravity and the larger wind-resistant area. Driving style must be adapted accordingly. Please read the notes on the RTS in the Owner's Manual. If the RTS is not in use, it should be completely removed from the vehicle for reasons of driving comfort and fuel savings. Please advise your customer of this information.
