Complaint 4:
Rubbing and clicking noises from the area of the roof frame above the door window on the left or right hand side.





Cause:
One of the fastening screws (arrow b, figure 8) which secures the side fabric- retaining strip has punctured the heat shrink tubing in the area of the tension cable spring.

Repair:
Open the convertible top halfway. Disengage the seal on the roof frame at the side (F, figure 8) above the door from the retaining strip. Remove the three Torx screws Figure 8 and fold the retaining strip downwards (arrow a, figure 8)

Remove the third screw from the front (arrow b, figure 8) and shorten it by 4 mm in order to prevent it from contacting the heat-shrink tubing and the tension spring. Reinstall the removed parts. If necessary, perform complaints 5 and 6.
