Complaint 7:
Creaking from the area under the rear window.

Cause:
The trim strip of the convertible-top compartment lid is touching the convertible-top (fabric) covering under the rear window.





Repair:
Raise the convertible4op compartment lid to its upper most position. Pull the lining of the convertible-top compartment out to the side from under the seal and fold it up towards the center. Adjust the tension cable anchoring points (a, figure 11)so that there is 2 to 3 mm of clearance between the convertible-top and the convertible-top compartment lid trim strip when the top is closed. See the blown-up view in figure 12.

Note:
It will be necessary to water test the convertible-top in the rear area. The tension of the convertible-top seal to the compartment lid could be reduced (b to c, figure 12), which could cause a water leak. Please ensure there is no water leak.
