Coding New Instrument Cluster

Coding of new instrument cluster.
Information:
MY '01 instrument clusters have been superceded. The new instrument cluster must be coded using the PST2. Programming of the instrument cluster can only be accomplished by using PST2 software version 11.0 or higher.
Work Procedure:
With PST2 connected and turned on:
1.1 Select "996" vehicle type.
1.2 After control module search is complete, select: "Instrument Cluster."
1.3 Select "Coding."
1.4 Select: "Country version."
1.5 Select: "USA" and confirm with F8.
1.6 Press << select: "Cruise control." Select: "With cruise control" or "without cruise control." Confirm with F8.
1.7 Press << select: "Vehicle Identification Number" and input VIN, confirm with F8.
1.8 Press << select: "Activate instrument cluster." Select: "Instrument cluster active." Confirm with F8.
1.9 Press << select: "Time." Set time and confirm with F8.
Parts
The equipment instrument clusters must also be coded with version 11.0 or higher.
Note:
If version 11.0 or higher is not being used, the following message will appear on the PST2:
"Coding is only possible after an automatic search."
