Correct procedure for checking engine oil
Information:
The on-board computer performs the measurement of the oil level. A sensor located in the oil tank provides the information necessary for the calculations. The display is located in the tachometer.
Prerequisites for the oil level measurement:
^ Engine is running at idle speed and is at operating temperature.
^ Vehicle is on level ground and is standing still.
Measurement procedure:
1. Using the control stalk, select "OIL" then "Start measurement".
2. The waiting time for the oil level measurement is shown in the display as well as scrolling segments in the oil level indicator. This alerts you that the measurement is taking place.
3. When the measurement is concluded, the oil level is indicated by the segment display.
Note:
There is no dipstick available for the direct measurement of the oil level.
