Cylinder Head Bolt Re-Usability
Cylinder-head screw M10 X 234:
Always replace, or replace by cylinder-head screw M10 X 230 (10.9)
Cylinder-head screw M10 X 230 (10.9):
Can be re-used

Initial Tightening:

Final Tightening:

Cylinder Head Tightening Sequence:

Torque Angle Tightening (60 Degrees):

After tightening the cylinder-head screws, fasten four pan-head screws.
Tightening torque 13 Nm (10 ftlb.)

Four Pan-Head Screws (M6 x 35):

Cylinder Head Surface Variation
Permissible unevenness of the parting plane: 0.05 mm
The admissible peak-to-valley roughness of the sealing surface is 0.015 mm
Permissible unevenness of parting surface after machining: 0.03 mm





The permissible wear dimension -X- for the height of the cylinder head is: 141.65 mm

Thread Pan-head screws M6 x 35 and M6 x 40 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Camshaft drive wheel and drive plate on camshaft
Thread M6 x 12 (10.9) 14 Nm (10.5 ftlb.)

Screws for chain sprocket, exhaust camshaft
Thread M6 x 12 14 Nm (10.5 ftlb.)

Intake distributor on intake pipe
Thread M6 x 35 (micro-encapsulated) 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb)

Intake pipe on cylinder head
Thread M6 x 35 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Exhaust manifold on cylinder head
Thread M8 x 28 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
