Activation Status Memory

Activation Status Memory

The alarm-triggering components that are in the non-active state during alarm system activation and that are therefore blocked for alarm triggering are stored in the activation status memory. The activation type is also saved. If the vehicle is secured, e.g. by remote control, and the oddments tray is open, this is indicated by a brief horn signal from the alarm system control module. This status is stored in the activation status memory under "Oddments tray activation type: - by remote control-". This function can be used in troubleshooting, in so far as a faulty micro switch or faulty wire can cause the horn signal. Reading out the activation status memory can help to track down the faulty alarm-triggering component, e.g. front lid, rear lid, oddments tray, etc.
