(PCCB) (M 450) Brake pads. Such as:
- a sporty driving style (street and sporty use),
- a comfortable driving style (only for street use),
- a racing style (only for racing or racing circuits).
Information:
When selecting brake pad materials for street vehicles, the usage profile of the typical customer and his or her expectations regarding power and comfort are the main criteria. In the case of street vehicles, brake pads that are optimized for street use are installed as standard equipment. Any requirements other than normal street use your customer may have, such as; club racing events, road rallies, or a above normal sport driving tendencys, require brake pad materials to match the driving preference.
In order to cover as wide a range of uses as possible, three types of brake pad are available for the 911 GT2 with PCCB.
All 911 GT2 vehicles are equipped with the "Standard Pads". Two alternative pad types can be retrofitted in the vehicles if required. The following section provides an overview of the pad designs.
Sport Driving/"Standard Pad" (street and sporty use):

Properties:
Good all-round properties, even for sporty driving. Good fading stability, e.g. when travelling along mountain passes. Suitable for racing circuits; however at very high operating temperatures there is greater wear on the pads compared with the racing pads.
Identification:
All pad side areas are yellow, white stripe on the pad side area of the retaining pin bores.

Brake Pad For Comfortable Driving (only for street use):
Installation:
These brake pads should only be retrofitted on customer request.
Properties:
Less chance of brake noise. Only suitable for normal street use.
Identification:
All pad side areas are black.

Brake Pad For Racing Use (only for racing or racing circuits):
Installation:
These pads can only be retrofitted (at the racing circuit). Not for street use.
Properties:
Reduced wear on the pad at high operating temperatures.
Identification:
All pad side areas are light green.
