Erroneous fault stored in ABS fault memory.
Information:
For Model Year '02 (2), a new ABS system (Version 5.7) is installed on vehicles without PSM. Fault number 5525 maybe incorrectly stored in the ABS control unit. This is due to a faulty data exchange between the ABS and the DME control units at engine speeds above 7000 rpm. The ABS warning light is not activated if fault 5525 is set.
Work Procedure:
If fault 5525 is found to be stored in the ABS 5.7 control unit, merely erase it. No other action is necessary.
