Removing and Installing Passenger's Airbag Unit







Removing passenger's airbag unit

CAUTION:
- Danger of injury and damage to property as a result of incorrect handling of airbag units.
- Always observe the safety regulations for handling airbag units.
- The airbag unit must always be deposited so that the airbag opening faces upwards.
- If removed for an extended period, the airbag unit must be kept in a locked place.
- Remove ignition key. Disconnect the battery and cover battery terminal.
- After the battery is disconnected, always wait for 1 minute before disconnecting the airbag plugs.

Remove cover under right instrument panel.
Remove glove compartment.







1. Fold safety device on left and right of the airbag connector upwards -A- and remove airbag connector on left and right.







2. Unscrew the fastening screw -A- 2x and -B- 4x and remove the airbag unit.

Installing passenger's airbag unit







1. Position airbag unit on the instrument panel, apply and adjust fastening screws -B- and -A-.
2. First tighten the fastening screws -A- on the assembly tube followed by the fastening screws -B- on the instrument panel.







3. Fold safety device -A- upwards and insert connectors -B- on the left and right until they engage audibly.

Install glove compartment.
Install cover under right instrument panel.

Carry out work instruction after disconnecting the battery.
