Wind Noise In The Upper Area Of The Front Door Window
Vehicle Type:
Cayenne/Cayenne S/Cayenne Turbo
Model Year:
M.Y. '03 (3) and '04 (4)
Concern:
Wind noises in the upper area of the front door window can be eliminated by replacing the window guide cover with a modified one.
Information:
In order to prevent wind noises on the front door window around the B-pillar, the cover for the window guide was modified as of the introduction date listed in this bulletin. The modified cover having part number, 955.531.457.01 (left) or 955.531.458.01 (right) can be identified by an additional sealing lip.
Figure 1 (arrow) shows the previous cover for the window guide (without additional sealing lip) in the upper corner of the front door window around the B-pillar.
Figure 2 (arrow) shows the modified cover for the window guide with additional sealing lip.
If the customer complains of wind noises on one of the front door windows around the B-pillar, the modified covers for the window guide should be installed on both front doors.
