Replacement of Camshaft Housing Fastening Screws

Concerns:
Camshaft housing cover fastening screws have been upgraded from a hardness rating of 8.8 to 10.9. Losses in pre-load force over time could result in leaks.

Information:
As of the introduction date listed below, the two camshaft housing covers will be fastened with screws with a "10.9" hardness rating (previously "8.8"). The hardness rating is indicated on the screw head.

When camshaft housing fastening screws are removed during engine repair, the existing fastening screws with a "8.8" hardness rating should be replaced with the new version screws with a "10.9" hardness rating.
