17 mm Wheel spacer installation instructions. Not for vehicles with:
18" Cayenne Turbo (8J x 18H2 RO 51 mm) wheel
20" Cayenne SportTechno (10J x 20H2 RO 55 mm) wheel

Information:





The spacer rings widen the track of the rear axle and enhances the visual appearance of the Cayenne.

Note:
The customer has to be informed of the following:

- When the emergency spare is installed the spacer ring has to be removed,

- The spacer rings cannot not be used in conjunction with snow chains,

- Only steel wheel nuts can be used to fasten the wheels, and because of this, no wheel anti-theft system is available.

Risk of injury due to vehicles slipping or tilting off vehicle hoist - caused by improper alignment of the lifting platform arms or their support plates, as well as by raising, supporting or removing units on raised vehicles.

> Align the vehicle evenly between the vehicle hoist columns.

> Lift the vehicle only at the provided jacking points.

> Check the correct seating of the support plates by raising the vehicle slightly and conducting a visual inspection.

> In addition, the guidelines of the vehicle hoist manufacturer and OSHA must be observed.

Risk of property damage - Risk of damage if the vehicle is raised incorrectly.

> Lifting or supporting the vehicle at unsuitable jack points can lead to vehicle damage.

> Lift the vehicle only at the approved jack points.

> Raising the vehicle in the sill area will lead to the deformation of body parts and to leakage in the underbody area.

Work Procedure:

1. Preparatory work.

1.1 Remove rear wheels (Technical Manual, service identifier 4405).

1.2 Remove installation aids.





2. Mount spacer rings. The spacer rings are fastened with the old wheel bolts (Item A). Tightening torque: 160 Nm (118 ft-lb.)

3. Mount rear wheels. Use new wheel nuts (parts list item D). Wheel nuts must not be greased. Tightening torque: 160 Nm (118 ft-lb.)

4. Install wheel nut covers.

5. Put pull-off tool in the vehicle tool box.
