Information:
Winter tires, all-season tires and all-terrain tires were developed only in 18-inch sizes. It is possible to use the same tire size and tread all round, i.e. the same tire size is used on both axles

Tire Speed Ranges:

H = max. 210 km/h (130 mph)
V = max. 240 km/h(150 mph)

Winter Tires

Winter tires are generally designed for use at low temperatures and offer even more advantages compared to all-season tires in winter road conditions such as in snow and ice. Specially developed tread compositions and tread patterns have provided targeted improvements in the winter properties while maintaining safe handling on wet and dry roads.

All-Season Tires

Targeted optimization of the tire compositions and treads has produced a good compromise between the driving characteristics at summer temperatures and driving safety on snow and ice. The all-season tires approved for the Cayenne feature an M&S identification and are perfectly suitable for winter driving.

All-Terrain Tires

The approved all-terrain tires are designed for all road conditions. In addition to its driving safety on dry and wet roads, the all-terrain tire also features an M&S identification and is also suitable for winter driving. In off-road driving situations, the all-terrain tires demonstrate a high level of traction and propulsive power on diverse surfaces such as dry terrain, gravel, rock, mud, wet grass and sand. Especially on unpaved (off road) surfaces, this superior traction is achieved though a good tread self-cleaning effect, which can be influenced by the tread design and an appropriate choice of rubber composition.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System

On vehicles with tire pressure monitoring system, the setting of the on-board computer must match the tire type mounted on the vehicle. The Owner's Manual describes how to set the on-board computer. When replacing a defective tire, bear in mind that the tread-depth difference between the two wheels of an axle must not exceed 30 %.

Tire Pressure:
The specified tire pressures apply only to the tire types and makes approved by Porsche (including all of the winter, all-terrain, all-season and summer tire types) and are specified for cold tires approx. 68° F. (20° C.). These are minimum tire pressures and must always be observed, since in addition to the unfavorable driving performance, serious tire damage could be caused.

On vehicles equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system, use the rocker switch to select the type of load on the on-board computer "Main menu > Tire pressure > Settings > Load".

Snow Chains:

The best possible handling characteristics are achieved when snow chains are fitted on all four wheels of the vehicle. However, it is also possible to fit snow chains on only one axle (preferably the rear axle). For safety reasons, vehicles with snow chains must not be driven faster than 30 mph (50 km/h).

Always observe the respective road traffic regulations.

Wheel Mounting:

Removing/Mounting:

Screw the assembly aids (threaded pins for wheel mounting, Part Number, 999 571 074 30), instead of 2 wheel bolts, into the wheel hub before mounting or removing a wheel. During removal, first remove the 3 remaining wheel bolts and remove the wheel carefully, without touching the brake discs.

The wheels are secured with standard wheel bolts M 14 x 1.5 x 51, Part Number, 955 361 203 00.

Tightening torque: 160 Nm (118 ftlb.).

Important Note:
Never grease the wheel bolts. Only "original Cayenne wheel bolts" should be used!

Screw in wheel bolts by hand and then tighten evenly in diagonally opposite sequence. Start at the top when tightening.
