GT3 RS

GT3 RS
The GT3 RS is available as a left-hand and right-hand drive vehicle. The GT3 RS is not offered in the USA.

The basic components of the 911 GT3 RS chassis have been adopted from the 911 GT3 - as of the 2004 model. This also applies to the brake system. In order to do justice to the higher power ratios and handling dynamics, changes have been made to the wheel carriers of the front and rear axles and further tuning has been carried out on the springs and stabilizers. The following only describes the changes with respect to the 911 GT3:
^ Front-axle wheel carrier: The spring strut is clamped by means of two screws (up to now one screw). In order to optimize the kinematics or the position of the lower control arms, the mounting points of the control arms and tie rods have been shifted further down. The wheel bearing is secured by means of a thrust plate and 6 screws (up to now 4 screws).
^ Front-axle coil spring: Progressive spring with changed spring constant (45 N/mm). In the case of GT3 - as of 2004 model, linear spring and spring constant of 40 N/mm.
^ Rear-axle wheel carrier: In order to optimize the kinematics or the position of the lower control arms, the mounting points of the control arms and toe control arms have been moved further down. The wheel bearing is secured by means of a thrust plate and 6 screws (up to now 4 screws).
^ Rear axle control arm: The lower control arms are, as is the case on the front axle, divided into two for optimal camber adjustment. The basic camber adjustment is achieved by inserting adjusting shims. The fine adjustment is still carried out via the camber eccentrics.
^ In order to further improve the handling dynamics, the wheel alignment values and the position of the connecting rods on the stabilizers, front and rear, have been changed.
