Roll Bar: Service and Repair
Overview:
Removing and Installing Roll-Over Bar - GT2
The screwed roll cage is not fully fitted on vehicle delivery if the vehicle is supplied with Club Sport equipment. The front sections (A-pillar support) of the roll cage which are delivered separately from the vehicle must be fitted on to the base cage.
NOTE: Do not tighten any of the screwed points until the fastening screws have been screwed in. Use correct tightening torques!
Removing Roll-Over Bar

Before the removal of the base cage -C-, the bucket seats must be removed! See "Removing and installing bucket seats." See "Assembly instructions for the rear trim, the floor covering and the closure caps" too.

NOTE: In order to unscrew the fastening nuts -7- from the spring strut mount, the vehicle must be standing on its wheels.
Installing the Roll-Over Bar

Danger!
Re-tighten with correct tightening torque!
- Carry out a test drive after performing assembly work on the roll-over bar/spring strut mount threaded parts on the body and then re-tighten the fastening nuts -7- with the correct tightening torque!
NOTE: Initially screw in and centre all the fastening screws and fastening nuts only in the sections -A, B, D, E- and in the base cage -C-. Only then tighten the threaded parts with the prescribed tightening torques. Adjust the adjusting element -2- last.

Adjusting the Roll-Over Bar
The foam coating of the A-pillar support sections must be pressed against the cowl panel frame trim.
1. Unscrew the adjusting element -2- in the direction of the arrow -Y- until the foam coating of the A-pillar support sections on the left and right -A, B- are pressed against the cowl panel frame trim.
2. Screw the lock nut -1- in the direction of the arrow -X- as far as it will go against the adjusting element -2- and lock it against the adjusting element -2-.
