Safety Instructions for Installation Work

Safety Instructions for Airbag System

CAUTION:
Danger of injury if airbag units are triggered while ignition key is not removed.
- Always remove ignition key during body work, and do not commence adjustment work until a waiting period of at least 1 minute has elapsed.
- The ground lead of the battery must be disconnected during work on the airbag system and alignment bench work within the framework of body repair.


Safety Instructions for Sliding Roof

CAUTION: Damage to water drainage channel and sliding roof mechanism when sliding roof panel is removed.

The rear water drainage channel or the sliding roof mechanism is damaged if the sliding/tilting roof trim is moved incorrectly.
- The sliding roof mechanism must not be moved to the "Open" position when the sliding roof panel has been removed.
- In order to avoid damage to the guides of the sliding roof, the sliding/tilting roof panel (Item 4) must be moved without the use of force.


Safety Instructions for Rear Spoiler

WARNING:
Danger of injury and danger of damage to the vehicle if handling is modified when adjusting the additional wing.
- The additional wing must be moved to the lowest position for use in public traffic.


Safety Instructions for the Pump Unit Hydraulic System of the Rear Spoiler

DANGER:
Danger of injury/damage during assembly work on the hydraulic system?
- The hydraulic system is under approx. 30 bar pressure when extended
- Do not smoke during work, avoid open flames. Danger of fire.
- Do not swallow hydraulic oil, avoid contact with skin/eyes.
- Rinse with water in the case of contact with skin/eyes.
