Installing the repair threaded bushing







WARNING: Danger of material damage and personal injury when the threads are being repaired.
- Thread repairs are only permissible on the front axle pickup point bushing, engine mount pickup point, and front, rear, and V-strut rear axle pickup points listed.
- Repair of threads on the front axle front is not permitted.
- Repair of threads for the front axle, rear pickup point fastening point, up to and including model year 1998, is not permitted.
- As of model year 1999, repair of threads on the front axle, rear pickup point is permitted.

INFORMATION: The repair bushing must be installed lowered. To mill in the respective shoulder, the tool with the designation Spot facer for time-sert thread repair M10 or M14 must be used. The tool provided from the complete set must not be used in this case.







INFORMATION: While pressing in the base threads, a noticeably larger amount of force on the screw-in tool is required to form the inner threads. Pressing is finished when the screw-in tool can be further turned more easily.

INFORMATION: To mill in the respective shoulder, the tool with the designation Spot facer for time-sert thread repair M10 and M14 nr. 122-2 must be used. The tool provided from the complete set must not be used in this case.
