Auxiliary Air Conditioning System



Removing And Installing Evaporator







Removing the Evaporator
1. Remove the side lining at rear.
2. Remove auxiliary air-conditioning unit.
3. Remove expansion valve.







4. Undo the fastening screws -1-.







5. Release both locking hooks -A arrows- and take out the bottom housing section with the evaporator -arrow B-.







6. Unscrew the fastening screws -2- and pull out the cover -arrow B-.
7. Take the evaporator out of the bottom housing section -arrow B-.

Installing the Evaporator

NOTE: The seal positions the evaporator under a slight pre-load in the housing. To ensure the correct pre-load, a damaged seal must be replaced.







1. Insert evaporator into bottom housing section -arrow A-.
2. Insert the cover -arrow B- and screw in the fastening screws -2- - do not screw them down.







3. Slip the bottom housing section onto the top housing section -arrow A- until locking tabs -arrow B- are felt to engage.







4. Screw in fastening screws -1- and screw down.
5. Screw down cover with fastening screws -2-.
6. Install expansion valve.
7. Install auxiliary air-conditioning unit.
8. Mount the side-panel lining at rear.
