Removing and Installing Vehicle Floor Suction Line (Low Pressure)
NOTE: Removing and installing the pressure line and suction line.
Removing The Vehicle Floor Suction Line
Removing the front vehicle floor suction line
- Remove refrigerant by suction.
- Observe safety regulations when working with refrigerant. Refer to, Safety regulations for working on air-conditioned vehicles and dealing with refrigerant R134a.
- Remove front left wheel.
- Remove front left wheel housing liner.
- Remove cover, centre left.
1. Unscrew the fastening screws -2- for the refrigerant lines, close the refrigerant lines -A- (low pressure) and -B- (high pressure), and the connections with plugs.
1. Unscrew the fastening screws -4- for the refrigerant lines -A- and -B-.
2. Unscrew the fastening screws -5-, holder for the refrigerant lines -A-, -B-, and the coolant lines -C-.
3. Unclip lines -A, B, C- from the holder.
1. Unscrew the fastening screws -4- for the refrigerant lines -A-, -B-, and for the coolant line -C-.
2. Unscrew the fastening screws -2- for the refrigerant lines, close the refrigerant lines -A- (low pressure) and -B- (high pressure) and the connections with plugs.
3. Pull out refrigerant lines -A- (low pressure) and -B- (high pressure) together. Unclip lines from the retaining clips.
Removing the rear vehicle floor suction line
- Remove refrigerant by suction.
- Observe safety regulations when working with refrigerant. Refer to, Safety regulations for working on air-conditioned vehicles and dealing with refrigerant R134a.
- Remove rear left wheel.
- Remove rear left wheel housing liner.
- Remove cover, centre left.
1. Unscrew the fastening screws -2- for the refrigerant lines, unclip the refrigerant lines -A- (low pressure) and -B- (high pressure) from the holder -D-. Close the connections and refrigerant lines with plugs.
1. Unscrew the fastening screws -4- for the refrigerant lines -A-, -B-, and for the coolant line -C-.
1. Unscrew the fastening screws -4- for the refrigerant lines -A-, -B-, and for the coolant line -C-.
2. Unscrew the fastening screws -2- for the refrigerant lines, close the refrigerant lines -A- (low pressure), -B- (high pressure), and connections with plugs.
3. Pull out refrigerant lines -A- (low pressure) and -B- (high pressure) together. Unclip lines from the retaining clips.
Installing The Vehicle Floor Suction Line
Installing the front vehicle floor suction line
1. Remove the plugs for the refrigerant lines -A- and -B-, check the O-rings of the refrigerant lines and if in doubt, replace.
2. Clip in the refrigerant lines into the retaining clips and coat the O-rings with refrigerant oil. Slide in lines and tighten using both fastening screws -2-. Refer to tightening torques.
3. Push the fastening screws -4- through the retaining clips of lines -A, B, C- and screw down. Refer to tightening torques.
1. Clip in lines -A, B, C- in the holder.
2. Position holder with lines to the body and screw down with the fastening screws -5-. Refer to tightening torques.
3. Position the refrigerant lines -A, B- in the wheel arch and screw down with the fastening screws -4-. Refer to tightening torques.
1. Remove the plugs for the refrigerant lines -A- and -B-, check the O-rings of the refrigerant lines and if in doubt, replace.
2. Coat the O-rings with refrigerant oil. Slide in lines and tighten using both fastening screws -2-. Refer to tightening torques.
- Fill refrigerant.
- Observe safety regulations when working with refrigerant. Refer to, Safety regulations for working on air-conditioned vehicles and dealing with refrigerant R134a.
- Install front left wheel.
- Install front left wheel housing liner.
- Install cover, centre left.
Installing the rear vehicle floor suction line
1. Remove the plugs for the refrigerant lines -A- and -B-, check the O-rings of the refrigerant lines and if in doubt, replace.
2. Clip in the refrigerant lines into the retaining clips and coat the O-rings with refrigerant oil. Slide in lines and tighten using both fastening screws -2-. Refer to tightening torques.
3. Push the fastening screws -4- through the retaining clips of lines -A, B, C- and screw down. Refer to tightening torques.
1. Position the refrigerant lines -A, B- and the coolant lines -C- and tighten with the fastening screws -4-. Refer to tightening torques.
1. Remove the plugs for the refrigerant lines -A- and -B-, check the O-rings of the refrigerant lines and if in doubt, replace.
2. Clip in the refrigerant lines into the retaining clip -D- and coat the O-rings with refrigerant oil. Insert lines -A, B- and tighten using both fastening screws -2-. Refer to tightening torques.
- Fill refrigerant.
- Observe safety regulations when working with refrigerant. Refer to, Safety regulations for working on air-conditioned vehicles and dealing with refrigerant R134a.
- Install front left wheel.
- Install front left wheel housing liner.
- Install cover, centre left.
