Positioning of air suspension components








The Cayenne Turbo and the optional Cayenne S are equipped with a level control system with full-supporting air suspension on both axles and an electronically regulated insulation Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).
The air suspension with level control makes it possible to actively adapt the ground clearance of the Cayenne to the situation in which the vehicle is being used or to its load. More ground clearance off-road due to manual adjustment on off-road level or automatic lowering at high speeds.
Depending on the load, it is possible to achieve various vehicle heights with various suspension characteristics by increasing or decreasing the air volume. The amount of air needed for each air spring strut is determined by means of a control unit and provided via an air supply consisting of compressor, a solenoid block and two accumulators.
