Removing bulb for reading light

Removing interior light

ATTENTION:
Danger of damage to property if bulbs are used or handled incorrectly.
- Risk of damage to bulbs and bulb housing.
- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
- To prevent short circuits, the load in question must be switched off while changing bulbs.
- Only bulbs specified in the bulb table may be used.
- Bulbs with a higher wattage may damage the bulb housing.
- New bulbs must be clean and free of grease. Therefore, never touch the bulbs with your bare hands. Use a cloth or soft paper when changing bulbs.
- In certain states, it is compulsory to carry spare light bulbs.


Interior light overview:




Removing interior light:






1. Pull the interior light out of the trim panel carefully from the front.
2. Release plug on interior light -arrow a- and pull it off.

Reading light overview:




Removing bulb for reading light:






1. Disengage bulb socket with bayonet lock -direction of arrow- and remove it.
2. Take defective bulb out of the bulb socket.

Installing bulb for reading light

NOTE: Only use the relevant bulb specified in the bulb table.

Installing bulb for reading light:






1. Insert new bulb into the bulb socket.
2. Insert bulb socket with bayonet lock into the interior light and lock it -direction of arrow-.

Installing interior light:






1. Connect plug for interior light until the plug engages perceptibly.
2. Insert interior light into the trim panel at the rear, then press it into the trim panel at the front.
