Front Axle
Front Axle
Similar to the previous 911 Carrera (996) the front axle consists of a strut suspension with longitudinal and transverse control arms. This concept ensures very precise wheel guidance in combination with a high degree of rolling comfort.
Some components of the front axle have been redesigned to take in account the increased performance and to further increase crash safety. As part of this redevelopment, the track of the front axle has been increased by 30 mm in comparison with the previous model. This measure, together with the larger and wider tires, helps to further reduce the tendency of the body to tilt, particularly when the vehicle's performance is utilized to the fullest.
