Transmission ratio
In order to ensure attractive performance and a high level of driving dynamics, the ratio spread has also been adopted for the new models. However the transmission ratio has had to be adjusted since the dynamic tyre rolling circumference of the new 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera S was increased by 5 %. This adjustment was achieved by reducing the spur pinion ratio by 5 %.
Final drive ratio = 3.56, dynamic scrub radius = 0.325 m
