Cylinder Head Bolts





Replace bolts
First pass 30 Nm (23 ftlb.)
Second pass Loosen completely
Third pass 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
Fourth pass Tighten 60° ± 2°
Fifth pass Tighten 60° ± 2°





Final pass: Pan-head screws M6 x 35 (10.9) (with captive washers) in chain box area 13 Nm (10 ftlb.)

Intake pipe support M6x35 hexagon-head bolts 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Intake distributor M6x35 micro-encapsulated hexagon-head bolts 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
Replace bolts

Camshaft bearing saddles on cylinder head
Pan-head screws M6 x 35 and M6 x 40 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Exhaust camshaft sprocket M6 x 12 bolts 14 Nm (10.5 ftlb.)
Tighten crosswise

Central M12 screw, camshaft adjustment device
Replace
First pass 50 Nm (37 ftlb.)
Final pass 110° torque angle

Exhaust Manifold Bolts 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
Use new M8 x 28 hexagon-head bolts
