Model Year:
2005 (5)
Concern:
Third brake light becomes loose in the bracket in the lower part of rear spoiler:
- modified third brake light in rear spoiler installed.
Information:
On the vehicles specified above, the third brake light in the rear spoiler can become loose in its installation slot in the lower part of the rear spoiler while driving. This affects vehicles manufactured before October 14, 2004.
On vehicles manufactured after October 14, 2004, the third brake light in rear spoiler is secured with 4 foam rubber profiles (see Figure 1, Arrows). As of the introduction date February 25, 2005, the third brake light is mounted without the foam rubber profiles due to a modified securing system.
Note!
The modified third brake light, which has been used since February 25, 2005, can be identified by the new part number, 997.631.051.03 shown on the housing. The new auxiliary brake light can be installed on older vehicles.
