BOSE sound package (I No. 680) loudspeaker amplifier.

Information:
A whistling noise can occur from the left rear loudspeaker on vehicles equipped with the BOSE sound package (I Nr. 680). The noise occurs after the ignition is switched off and can be heard for approx. 10 seconds from the left rear loudspeaker for the time of the control unit run-on.

There has been a modified loudspeaker amplifier installed since August 31, 2004.

99 X5S 74 0758 USA - 911 Carrera S

Measure:
In the event of a complaint, the loudspeaker amplifier is to be replaced on vehicles produced before August 31, 2004, see POSES, Workshop Manual, 911 Carrera (997), Group 9, 91 44 21 - Removing and installing the loudspeaker amplifier (as of MY 2005)
