General

The interior has been redesigned with the aim of further enhancing already proven features, optimizing the ergonomics and adding fresh highlights. The quality of the interior with regard to joint quality, upholstering technique, seams and surface structure has been improved in comparison with the previous 911 Carrera (996) model. The percentage of soft paint surfaces has been reduced and more components based on slush technology used to further improve the impression of quality. (Slush technology involves pouring plastic powder into a rotating, heated mold and "fusing" it into a closed film).

The range of interior colors for the 911 Carrera/S (997) has also been extended to include four new colors (Sand Beige, Palm Green, Stone Grey and Sea Blue) in addition to Black.

The following components are upholstered in grained-look leather as standard: shift lever, steering wheel rim, parking brake lever grip, lid of the storage bin in the center console, lid of the door storage bin and door handle. The center section of the seats as well as the side padding and headrests of the front seats are upholstered in leather.

Interior design elements in the 911 Carrera/S (997) are painted Volcano Grey.







The roofliner is in Alcantara in the respective standard color. A leather interior is available as an option in the standard colors Black, Sand Beige, Palm Green, Stone Grey and Sea Blue. The new colors Terracotta and Cocoa are available in special leather. The familiar colors of Dark Grey and Brown are available in natural leather.

If a leather interior is ordered, all leather items will be finished in smooth leather. The high quality of the leather interior is further emphasized with additional decorative seams, for example in the area of the dashboard and the door-trim panel.

The leather interior includes the standard upholstered items plus the following components:
- A-pillar/windshield frame trim, B-pillar trim, C-pillar trim, rear wall lining, front of the dashboard include integrated airbag cover, upper part of the dashboard incl. instrument cluster cover, steering wheel rim, door trims, front of the door handle, lid of the door storage bin, lid of the storage bin in the center console, shift/parking brake lever, center section of the front seats, sides of the front seats, center section of the rear seats, sides of the rear seats.
