Remove driver's airbag unit.
Removing multi-function remote control
Installtion Position Of Steering Wheel Shown On The 911:
NOTE:
- When removing the locking plate, take note of how many washers are used on each fastening screw.
- During installation make sure that the washers are fitted in the same way as they were before removal.
1. Unscrew the four fastening screws -1- on the locking plate in the steering wheel and remove along with the locking plate.

2. Use a screwdriver to carefully lever the multi-function control unit out of the steering wheel.

3. Release electric plug connection -A- and disconnect it from the multi-function control unit.
Releasing Electric Plug Connection:
4. Unscrew the fastening screws -2- and washers -3- for the remote control and carefully lever the remote control out using a screwdriver.
Removing Remote Control From Steering Wheel:
5. Release the electric plug connection on the remote control -A- and disconnect it.

6. Remove remote control.
Installing multi-function remote control
1. Insert electric connector into the remote control until it clicks into place.
Connecting Plug Connection On The Remote Control:
2. Insert remote control into the steering wheel, position washers -3- and screw down with the fastening screw -2-.
Installing Remote Control:
3. Attach electric plug connection to multi-function control unit until the plug clicks into place.
Clipping Multi-function Control Unit Into Steering Wheel:
4. Clip multi-function control unit into steering wheel. Check that it is secure.
NOTE:

5. Position locking plate on steering wheel and screw down using the four fastening screws -1- and the washers. Tightening torque 4.5 ftlb.
