Seat Memory (Optional)

Seat Memory (optional)

NOTE: Adjustment of the seat position and the two door mirrors via the seat memory preset buttons is only possible at a speed of up to 4 mph (7 km/h).

In conjunction with an electrically adjustable seat, the seat memory (programmable seat adjustment) enables individual setting of the seat position and the two door mirrors. The ideal settings can be stored and subsequently retrieved via the station preset buttons. 8 individual positions can be stored and called up via 2 person buttons and 6 remote control keys. The positions of the seat motors are determined by way of Hall sensors. There is also a controlled output, whose current is monitored. This output remains active as long as the seat memory controller is alert. An internal self-diagnosis facility monitors the system functions and stores any errors in a non-volatile memory.

The following seat motors can be actuated:
- Fore and aft adjustment
- Backrest adjustment
- Top lumbar support
- Bottom lumbar support
- Seat height, front
- Seat height, rear

Diagnosis

Diagnosis is carried out with the PIWIS Tester. Some functional features of the vehicle electrical system are restricted or disabled in production and transportation mode.
