Situation:
^ Warning light for coolant temperature gauge in the instrument cluster is flashing Fault code P0116 is stored in the DME fault memory

If fault code P0116 is read out while reading out the fault memory during repairs on a vehicle in response to the customer complaint "Warning light for coolant temperature gauge is flashing", the DME control unit must be reprogrammed using the PIWIS Tester with software version V 14.0 or higher.

In this case, no further repairs are required.

ATTENTION
DME control unit programming must not be interrupted.

^ If programming is interrupted due to a voltage drop, malfunctions in the DME control unit or damage to the DME control unit cannot be ruled out.

--> Connect the vehicle battery to a suitable charger.
