W566 - Adding Convertible Top Emergency Tool To The Vehicle Tool Kit (Workshop Campaign)

Emergency convertible top operating tool.

Information:

This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on certain 2005 model year Boxster (987) and Boxster S (987) vehicles. The lever for convertible top emergency operation is missing from the vehicle tool kit.

To remedy the situation, put lever for convertible top emergency operation in the vehicle tool kit. This lever was previously sent to you in a Service Action shipment to the attention of Service Manager.

Affected Vehicles:

A total of 5064 U.S. and Canadian vehicles fall within the scope of this Service Action.

Alternatively, the VIN can be checked in the Porsche e-DCS/WWS for confirmation of an open service action.
