For improved AM reception, the vehicles mentioned above can be retrofitted with a roof antenna. Once installed one of the two ultra-shortwave antennas mill be omitted from the windshield (antenna diversity).

Included in the installation set is the standard electric wire harness (roof antenna). For retrofitting, only the antenna lead (HF lead), rod antenna/control unit antenna diversity (antenna diversity CU), and the lead for the rod antenna/PCM power supply are needed. These must be disconnected from the standard wire harness The other leads are not needed.

Inform the customer requesting this retrofit that the antenna does not retract. For this and other reasons, Porsche does not recommend using automatic car washes for vehicles equipped with this mast antenna.

Warning!
Risk of short circuit and fire - due to work on vehicle electrical system.

> Always route the electrical wires without tension and so that no chafing occurs and secure to existing harnesses/components with tie-wraps/insulating tape.
