Installation overview of clutch slave cylinder
Preliminary work
1. Raise the vehicle at the prescribed jacking points.
Removing
1. Remove left transmission bracket with hydraulic mount.
Support transmission before removing the transmission bracket! When supporting the transmission, ensure that there is no tension on the screws on the transmission bracket -A-.
Unscrew nuts -Arrows- on hydraulic mount -B-.

C - Fastening nut (never loosen)

Unscrew screws -Arrows- on transmission bracket -A- and remove transmission bracket -A- together with hydraulic mount.

2. Lever off shift cable and connecting rods.
Lever off shift cable -1- and connecting rods -2, 3- at the external shift mechanism -4-.

3. Remove external shift mechanism.
3.1. Unscrew nut -Arrow-.

3.2. Pull external shift mechanism off the shifting shaft. Use the puller P 9736 to do this.

4. Disconnect clutch line on the clutch slave cylinder.
Seal off the clutch line with a plug.
5. Screw out screw -Arrow- and pull clutch slave cylinder out of the guide.

Installing
1. Install clutch slave cylinder.
Information: Before installing the clutch slave cylinder, grease the push rod with Kluberalfa in the area of the release-lever ball socket. Part No. 000.043.304.02 (50g tube).
--> Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
2. Install external shift mechanism.
Insert external shift mechanism and tighten nut -Arrow-.
--> Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)

3. Press on shift cable and connecting rods.

4. Install transmission bracket with hydraulic mount.
4.1. Tighten screws securing transmission bracket to transmission.

4.1.1. Transmission bracket to Tiptronic transmission
--> Tightening torque: 65 Nm (48 ftlb.)
4.1.2. Transmission bracket to manual transmission
--> Tightening torque: 65 Nm (48 ftlb.)
4.2. Tighten nuts securing hydraulic mount to rear-axle carrier side section.

--> Tightening torque: 33 Nm (24 ftlb.)

Subsequent work
1. Bleed the clutch system.
2. Clean the transmission in the work area.
