Belt Tensioner

Removing and installing belt tensioner

Preliminary work

1. Loosen drive belt around the belt tensioner.

Removing belt tensioner





1. Slacken off the belt tensioner. To do this, screw an M8 x 50 screw into the belt tensioner. Do not turn the belt tensioner as far as the stop. Only slacken the tensioner until the drive belt is loose.





2. Undo the three fastening screws on the belt tensioner and remove the component.

Installing belt tensioner





1. Screw a screw (M8 x 50) into the new belt tensioner until the belt tensioner is slightly tensioned.





2. Tighten the three fastening screws. Tightening torque: 19 ft-lb.

Subsequent work

1. Fit drive belt.
