Installing cylinder head cover
Note: The seals on the ignition coil slots have a twist lock. These must be inserted into the corresponding cut-out on the cylinder head cover.
1. Replace all seals of the cylinder head cover (one cover gasket and six recess seals) and fit them in the correct position.
Note:
^ The cylinder head cover must be tightened evenly in a clockwise direction!
^ The sealing rings of the M6 fastening screws with distance sleeve must be checked for damage and replaced if necessary!
2. Position cylinder head cover on the cylinder head and fit all 9 fastening screws and 2 fastening nuts on the cylinder head cover. Tighten all fastening elements uniformly in clockwise direction. Tightening torque: 10 (7.5 ft-lb.) Nm
3. Fit holder for engine wire harness on control side. Position the two M6 hexagon socket head bolts -arrows- of the holder for the control side engine wire harness and tighten. Tightening torque: 10 (7.5 ft-lb.) Nm
4. Position 2 Torx screws on the front of the cylinder head cover -arrows- and tighten the holder for the wire harness. Tightening torque: 10 (7.5 ft-lb.) Nm
Subsequent work
1. Install ignition coils.
2. Install intake-air distributor.
