Removing and installing engine carrier

Preliminary work

Engine Supported On Body:





1. Support engine on the body.

Engine Guard:





2. Remove engine guard.
3. Remove the front-axle carrier.

Removing engine carrier


Note: This task can only be performed if the engine has been removed or suspended on the body.

Note:
^ Do not undo the engine mounts on the engine.

Engine Mount:





^ If the engine mounts have been undone on the engine -A-, they must be aligned using the engine carrier.

Fastening Screws:





1. Undo the two fastening screws to the left and right -arrows- from above on the hydraulic mounts.

Fastening Screws For Engine Carrier:





2. Undo the two fastening screws from the engine carrier -centre arrow- to the body and remove the engine carrier.

Installing engine carrier


Mount For Hydraulic Mount:





1. Install engine carrier. To do this, first position the fastening screws (M10 x 45) -arrows- on the hydraulic mounts and tighten them. Tighten the fastening nuts -A-. Tightening torque 44 ft. lbs.. Tightening torque 44 ft. lbs..

Fastening Screws For Engine Carrier:





2. Tighten the new fastening screws on the engine carrier -centre arrow-. Tightening torque 74 ft. lbs.. Torque angle 180°

Subsequent work

1. Install the front-axle carrier.
