Occasional engine oil leak at the sealing face for the chain tensioner.
Situation:
Reducing time and effort involved in establishing the cause.
Measure:
If the complaint "Engine oil leak at chain tensioner" is received, the upper chain case cover as well as the sealing ring on the contact surface between the chain tensioner and the upper chain case cover must be replaced on the affected vehicle.
The chain tensioner must be checked for signs of damage on the sealing face and only needs to be replaced if it is damaged.

Vehicles manufactured between November 2004 and February 2005 (up to introduction date).
