Control module function (coding/programming)Coding
Extract and modify coding
Under the menu item "Coding" you can read out which equipment features are activated and which are not.
The following equipment features can be set:
- Control module, right
- Control module, left
- Right control module in connection with level control system
- Left control module in connection with level control system
WARNING:
Coding: Make sure that the headlight system is coded correctly in the vehicle electrical system control module (always code Xenon headlights as well).
- Incorrect coding in the vehicle electrical system control module can damage the HBA Xenon control module.
Calibration
NOTE: Calibration must be performed in the level control system in all vehicles with level control
The headlight beam adjustment (HBA) Xenon control module is adapted to suit current conditions relating to position in the vehicle under the menu item "Calibration". The existing vehicle position is stored as 'zero position' during calibration.
Following calibration, the headlight setting must be checked and corrected if necessary.
Calibration must be performed if changes were made that can change the position of the angle sensors:
- Headlights, complete
- HBA (Xenon) control module
- HBA angle sensor (front and rear compression)
- Running gear components
- Damage caused by accidents
NOTE:
- When the coding is changed in the menu item "Modify coding", the ignition must always be switched off afterwards and the key removed.
- After the ignition is switched on again, the new coding of the control module is updated and the stored faults can be erased.
NOTE: If the coding does not match the vehicle equipment, faults will be displayed that are not really present.
